Assigning products (PLUs) to the till screen (Keyboard)

Now that you have made a new product you will need to put it onto the Till Screen to be able to sell it.

Instructions

  1. Click Programming

  2. Select “Keyboard Allocation” from the dropdown list

  3. Click on “Open the Keyboard Editor” on the next screen. This takes you to the front page of your Till

  4. Click where it says “Main Menu” (This is a list of all of your Menu Levels) and select the menu level that you want to put your new product onto, as shown in the image below:

  5. Once you’re on the relevant page, click on a blank button that you want to put the new product onto. This will indent to show that it has been selected:

  6. There is a field on the left that says “No Function”. This tells you that there is currently nothing on the button that you have selected. Click No Function and choose PLU from the dropdown list instead:

  7. Once you’ve selected PLU, click in the box below that says “Type to Search” and start typing the name of the product you have just made. This is a predictive search box, so typing a few letters should cause all relevant products to appear:

  8. Click on the correct product from the list, and the name will appear on the button that you previously selected:

  9. Click anywhere else on the screen to “deselect” the button, and the Save Changes button in the bottom left should become available. Click here and press OK when it asks you to confirm changes.

  10. Press the X at the top right of this box to close out of the Keyboard Editor. The system might ask if you want to save again, so again press OK.

That should then send the programming changes down to the Till, so just check to make sure that it all works as expected.
